Turgo turbine has the key feature of simple structure, small size, light weight, high efficiency, easy install and reliable perform. It is very suitable for small load in mountain areas off grid system. Turgo turbine have two different structures single nozzle and double nozzles. The runner of a Turgo turbine is made of outer ring, inner ring and buckets. The Tubular type turbine is made of water chamber, runner, distributer and draft tube,which suits to low water head and large water flow, could be design as both vertical type and horizontal type. Please see the below detail diagram and photos of the GD Series.
Francis type turbine is suitable for water power station with medium or low water head and flow rate. It is divided into vertical type and horizontal type. In general, vertical type is often used in micro water power station. Suitable for 5-40m head medium head sties.
The Propeller turbine is consist of PMG and vertical shaft turbine, suitable for extra low head sites, the turbine will be installed into the volute chamber. It has compact structure, attractive appearance and no need the excitation device.
The submersible turbine is design under France EDF financial support in 2004, which could be used in Europe mills and Korean seawater fish farms, the generator is located inside of turbine which could waterproof well. DLLD has build up a 12kW test station in Xihua University located in Chengdu city of China.
The Barrel turbine is specially developed for USA low head sites based on Propeller turbine, much more easy to install and simple to maintains thought cost is bit higher.
The float bucket turbine is suitable for high flow without water head, it is a fish friendly turbine design, but the turbine volume is bit large and transport cost is bit high.
